Buying $20 For $10 – Courtesy of LivingSocial

It is extremely rare than one can buy $20 bill for anything less than $20.

But here is an arbitragers dream come true: for a limited time, you can buy a $20 amazon gift card for just $10.

How is this possible? Well, it might have something to do wit the fact that LivingSocial is a Groupon competitor backed by amazon.com – so giving away money like this may seem crazy but it is an investment in marketing from their point of view. In any case, the deal is unpassable and only available for a few more hours so grab your free $10 here.

I’m going to write a little bit more about Groupon, its IPO and its valuation in an upcoming post. Stay tuned for that but in the meantime, enjoy your effortless arbitrage!

    Cool.

Just to confirm that there are no free lunches: this not effortless. It’s actually too much effort for me to create an account at LivingSocial for a 10$ rebate 🙂

And i’m not even considering the time cleaning the many emails that I’ll have to go through once I have joined and they start spamming me with offers I have no interest in.
